Quotas for Women study published

Congratulations to Mona Lena Krook, whose comparative study of on women and candidate
quotas is published by Oxford University Press in 2009. Quotas for Women in Politics is
the first book to address quotas as a global phenomenon explaining their spread and
impact in diverse contexts around the world. Described by Prof Joni Lovenduski as "the
definitive account of the political science of quotas for women", this pioneering work has already attracted much praise. It is, according to Prof Aili Mari TrippĀ  "sure to inspire more historical institutionalist studies in gender and politics."
